How It Works

Days 1-3

Credit union receives data file and validates the data. The credit union imports data into our core system to open individual memberships and HSA accounts. HSA account holder receives email to let them know the account is open, provide electronic versions of the disclosures and obtain any required electronic signatures.

Days 4-7

HSA Debit Cards are printed in-house and mailed to new HSA account holders with welcome packet which includes second copy of disclosures for the accounts.

Days 8-30

The credit union will reach out to HSA account holders to add beneficiaries and provide support for rolling over funds from previous HSAs. If the district has a contractual component that would facilitate rolling over all HSAs to the credit union’s HSAs, then the process is simplified. If not, each individual HSA account holder will need to work with the credit union to initiate the rollover of funds.

The credit union’s Contact Center is available to help answer any questions, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The only time we are closed is on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Online web & video chat is available Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and on Saturdays from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm CST.
